We’re updating our website

We are currently updating the ARC KSS website to reflect our new funding and the changes it brings to our programme of work.  These changes will take place over the course of the next few months.

Please bear with us while we work behind the scenes to make these improvements. We thank you for your patience.

The Participatory Approach to Research - addressing barriers to research Showcase

Participatory research is a collaborative approach where members of the community and stakeholders act as co-researchers alongside academics. This approach moves from treating individuals as ‘research subjects’ to empowering those directly affected by an issue to have a voice and be active in designing and delivering research and effecting change. This session will demonstrate how participatory research can facilitate the inclusion of people with the highest burden of health and social inequalities and include an overview of participatory research methods.

This session shows how participatory research helps involve people facing the greatest health and social inequalities.
